Events
Animazement is about everything anime and Japan. We pack our schedule full of events dedicated to the world of anime and all things Japan. There is always something to do at Animazement!

Autograph Sessions

Autograph sessions are a great way to meet our guests up close, and take home a unique keepsake of your time at Animazement!  Please familiarize yourself with our Autograph Session Rules before coming to an Autograph Session.

How do I get in?

Some autograph sessions require a ticket for admission.  Tickets to these limited autograph sessions are distributed at panels presented by our Guests of Honor, with autograph sessions with those guests to follow.  We believe this is a fair way to give attendees with interest in a particular guest a way to ensure a spot in an autograph session.

Other autograph sessions are open to all attendees, regardless of panel attendance.  Please check your convention schedule for details.

Please note:  Photo Sessions may have different requirements for admission (such as the purchase of a T-shirt, etc.)  Please check your convention program guide for details.

What can I have signed?

Acceptable items include officially licensed merchandise related to works the guests has been involved in, autograph books or boards (shikishi), and your convention program.  Unacceptable items include bootleg merchandise, and any part of your body.

Some guests have their own requirements for acceptable items.  Photos are generally not allowed at autograph sessions.  Please consult your convention schedule for the requirements of a particular autograph session, and read the signs posted at the autograph session.

Please bring a maximum of 1 item to be signed.   Be sure to read our Autograph Session Rules for further information.

How does it work?

It's pretty simple--you wait in line, and when it's your turn, you approach the table and ask the guest to sign your item.  We may ask you to write your name on a Post-It note while you are in line, in order to help the guest spell your name correctly.

We ask that attendees behave with utmost decorum when attending an autograph session.  Please wait your turn patiently, and treat our Guests of Honor and your fellow attendees with the respect they deserve.  Any attempts to go behind the autograph table, hug the guest, etc. will result in your immediate removal from the area.  You are welcome to speak with the guest, but please limit your comments, since others are waiting in line.  In order to maximize the number of attendees that can get an autograph, each attendee only has about 30 seconds with a guest.
