I need a tutorial on shihakusho...I was GOING to cosplay Lenalee Lee again from D.Gray-Man, but I unthinkingly cut 14 inches off my hair. So I was like "Crap! Now I can't cosplay her" Then my sister pointed out that my hair kind of looks like Rukia's now so Imma TRY to get a cosplay done in time.
Know any tutorials that don't require purchasing things off the internet?

You know Lenalee does have short hair as well for part of the series, a different uniform, but you could still cosplay her.
And what do you mean by "tutorials that don't require purchasing things off the internet?" A lot of materials for tutorials can be bought at a hardware, fabric, or craft store unless you need a very specific item. And a tutorial for what per se?

My hair is longer than Lenalee from later-on, but shorter than the beginning TT_TT
A tutorial for a shihakusho that doesn't require me to buy things like patterns off the internet.

Terry Bogard - Mark of the Wolves / "Wild Wolf" outfit http://www.fightersgeneration.com/chara ... battle.jpghttp://www.fightersgeneration.com/chara ... rry-k3.jpgJacketI got his jacket at the site below for about $150 after shipping (it's the only major expense) - http://www.fan-store.net/FootwearA pair of work shoes / work boots suffices. BeltWestern Star belt buckle. Looks like this - http://www.buckleshop.com/images/3121filigreestar.jpgJeansLong denim blue jeans, preferably long enough to cover the tops of the shoes / boots. GlovesLeather fingerless motorcycle gloves, with airholes. I ordered this pair - http://ftwleather.com/pro712725.htmlHairYou could use either a wig or just get your natural hair to the right length, and use hair coloring if necessary. For a temporary solution, there is hair coloring spray (comes in cans as cheaply as $5). A permanent alternative is just getting your hair bleached blonde ($40-$60 in my area of South Carolina). My current cosplay picsHad my hair bleached for the finalized version of this year's cosplay. http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c27/c ... se%202009/1st edit: New info, generally polished the formatting, uploaded more pictures to photobucket, and replaced the image links with a photobucket album link. 2nd edit: Better info about gloves.

I'm not sure if this has been posted but anyway...
If you ever need to straiten out a somewhat curly wig just lay it on a flat surface and turn on a blow dryer and let the hot air run over the strands. You can literally watch them uncurl.

Make a wire frame with center cross pieces where ribbons or other attachments can be placed. Then cover with fabric, pvc, whatever you want. Though you might want to tip the wires or round off the ends otherwise they'll poke through the fabric.

This is going to make me sound like I'm stupid or needy or something, but would you guys happen to have images? I've never made wings before, and I have a hard time imagining it in my head. xD;

Wasnt this just asked on coscom?.....aaaanyway. You can simply stretch your wig out over a foam head (or a friends head) and clip the fiber up carefully above where you want to put in the new weft. Then pin in the new weft to the lines running up and down the head. Then stitch in those new cross sections either by hand or by machine. [/quote]

Rock Howard from Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves
Jacket
I got his jacket at the site below for about $120 after shipping (the only major expense) -
http://www.fan-store.net/
Hair
See my previous post.
Everything else
Everything else should be available for cheap at your nearest Wal-Mart. For the belt, I paid about $11. For the shoes, I paid $22 for a pair of black dress shoes. Long black denim jeans for about the same price. If you need to hem them up, leave them long enough to cover the tops of the shoes. For the gloves, weight lifting gloves work (about $10, no modification needed). For the shirt, plain black t shirt. I recommend buying a pack just in case of hot weather.
My finalized Rock Howard cosplay for Animazement 2010:

Here's an official SNK art of Rock from Mark of the Wolves.

edit:
I'm likely to add a tutorial for Terry Bogard's original outfit once I figure out the jacket and acquire a suitable hat.

anyone know how to make wings?
i could just wait till halloween and get wings for my takuto cosplay, but i want to take a shot at making them more custom (plus they have to fit onto a bookbag and that would be a real hassle with party city wings ><)
