Here's a thread I found on cosplay.com and I think it's a good one: http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=130782
Thanks a lot, W_D!!!! I'll try that. I'll have to see if my dad is willing to help me with it :3 Tokaido wrote:Okay i'll try that thank you
No problem! For my Nell Tu cosplay (Espada uniform) I bought a pair of white scrubs that are a bit over sized for me so they kinda of look like hakama....but Nell's pants are a tad bit more fitting to her body. I hope that can work for you!
And since you'll be Hitsugaya, can I have permission to glomp you? Pretty pwease?

Yays!!!!!!
If you want to dye it white, go ahead. I will be very envious of you (I really want white or grey hair) But....if you want to keep your blonde hair or whatever, I would buy a wig.....plus, with a wig, you could use it for a variety of different cosplays. I just thought of last night using my Nell Tu wig to do a cosplay of Sailor Neptune or something like that. :3

They can be after a while DX
but, when I want to do a cosplay that has really crazy hair and has a hair length that's way to long for me (ie - Nell or Tsunade) wigs come in handy.

You'll need to buy a wig, wig cap, and hair pins.
bundle all your hair up as flat as you can and put it under a wig cap. Then put the wig on and pin it in place

*nod nod* thats what I have to do with my Near wig... The only problem is that it seems that no place within a 40 mile radius of me has wig caps in stock... Not even the wig shop o_o

ooookiiieee see you won't really be getting "white". The real only way to get white hair is to strip your hair of all the color. Which is very harsh and would cost a lot of money. And some of your hair may fall out if you do it too fast.
If you go out and buy the white hair spray or the colored styling gel you'll get a result like this (depending on how dark your hair is):
It will rub off easily and be quite crispy.
But if you don't mind that, then yes Hot Topic should carry it. Look for something like this: http://www.manicpanic.com/dhgels.html
If I were you, I'd just go get a wig, soooooo much easier ^^

BUT, buying wigs on ebay is probably a bad idea.
I did that with my first few because I was fangirling over the amazing prices--However, most of them come from China and have either stolen pictures or misleading shipping information.
I waited three months for one of my wigs, and it came squished in an envelope and the entire style came apart as soon as I took it out of its bag.
Amphigory and cosworx.com are your best bets if you want to purchase a wig, as they'll happily answer any questions you have.

well I bought a wig from Amphigory and it came in quite squished. I just ordered a wig from ebay so we'll see how that one turns out. All you'll have to do if just restyle/brush the wig to put everything back in place.
The only thing with ebay or any other place, please don't buy a pre-used wig unless you know how to uberly clean one. *shudders at the thought*
Oh and with ebay most places will answer your questions. I've asked a lot and they've all responded with in a day ^^ just gotta look for the right places

I was probably looking in the wrong places, then.
I suppose that everyone has a different experience with different places.
In summary:
Make sure you read the fine print before ordering!
