Cosplay 101

New to the cosplay world? Or want a brush up or just feel like going to another cosplay panel? Than come to Cosplay for Beginners!
Myself and Jess are hoping to do this panel to help people who may be new to the cosplay world! We'd cover some good bases on things and take questions of course. We'd have examples of patterns and how they can help. Wigs and how to take care of them, how not to take care of them. Good places to get fabric and crafts. What fabrics may work better for some things than others. Shoes, boot covers or altering. We don't plan to talk about wings since they aren't really for beginners but if someone asks we will talk about them. We will talk about machines, different types(basic machine vs serger).
We'll give you a good base to start cosplaying from!
For those who are interested in starting to enter the Craftsmanship contest we've submitted a panel form for that as well!

Even after going to countless panels and watching tutorials, I'm still apprehensive about actually making one. (And you wouldn't believe how many notes I've taken over the years...)

I can't style wigs at all, and uhmm yeah I really need help especially with one of the wigs I have.

We can touch on wigs, we won't go to indepth since there could be a wig panel, those things need their own sometimes... lol
But we WILL be going over some basics for making your own cosplays. From where to buy good pieces to help, to using patterns, and even draping.

All of CosplayAwkward is at Triadcon this weekend and we'll be presenting the Cosplay 101 panel there! So if you want a preview of what you'll see at AZ(if we get accepted) than come to our panel!
