Beyond the Ruffles-Intro to Lolita Fashion 2012-Accepted

Hi everyone, I have submitted for the Intro to Lolita fashion panel this year. I have been a follower of lolita fashion for several years now and am a member of our local lolita group. I am planning to take a brief look at the history of the style, how and where to buy and other little tidbits of our ruffly lolita fashion.

So I hope we are approved and will see you there.

Agreed! I just got into Lolita last year, and so I never participated in the socials but I would love to meet other Lolis!

I would love to come! I know we already have two lolita related panels, but would just a social be objected to? I mean just a set amount of time where lolis can meet and chat and play games, kind of similar to what Meiki held last year. Would anyone be opposed?

Also, sorry if I'm stepping on any toes! I just didn't want to make a separate post for this...

Right now everything is still up in the air waiting on approval for the panels. I personally have this panel and one other so I haven't thought about running a social. I don't know if anyone else has one planned at this point. If there isn't an actual lolita social maybe we could have a meetup instead.

Either would be fine with me, and I would be more than happy to host. The only problem would be where to hold a meetup for our local lolis not in AZ attendance...

Maybe I'll post on LJ and see how many will be coming and take it from there. =)

I think those who set up the Lolita cosplay thread were trying to get a social or meetup together. But keep us posted if there's an official one during con weekend! I would definitely come

Yay! Do keep us updated on the meetup, I know in the Cosplay thread we were trying to get one together but it fell through. This sounds exciting, I will definitely be in my Lolita best on Saturday!

Maybe we can get a chance to meet with you next time! I am actually pretty new to lolita, maybe into it for about a year or so. But I'm excited to know there's a lot of lolitas out there!

I just wanted to update my post that my panel was accepted and we are scheduled for Friday at 9-10pm. We are finalizing the panel now and will hopefully see you there.
