As a staff member for Librari-Con I thought I'd go ahead and start a thread seeing as we just had a meeting today, and there's some news. Where to begin...
Librari-Con 2013 will be the first year that we will hold an actual craftsmanship contest for Cosplayers with some great prizes. There will still be a Cosplay runway to show off your costume and strike a pose, but for those interested you get to meet our judges and possibly win some loot.
Are you an artist and would love to try your hand at drawing our Mascot, Libby. Well this year we are going to take open submissions for a contest to do just that. Check back around March 1st for more details.
Make sure to check out our "Librari-Con Commercial Poll" just below this one to find out how and your friends could be on TV.
And finally, you might be wondering where the Cumberland County Library is getting awesome swag for some of these great contests? You can thank both Animazment and The East Coast Anime Society for their support...

Librari-Con 2013 "Change Is Coming"..."Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction where ever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that."
- Col. Tigh / Battlestar Galactica
Re: Librari-Con 2013 "Change Is Coming"...All of this sounds really cool! I'd love to submit a mascot design
