Re: What is your favorite anime/manga or the ones you recommGuys, there's already a thread for this at the top of the page called Anime / Manga Recommendations. I'm merging this one...
"Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction where ever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that."
- Col. Tigh / Battlestar Galactica
Re: Anime/Manga RecommendationsOne of my personal recommendations right now is Zettai Karen Children Presents: The Unlimited Hyoubu Kyouske". I know I never did get to watch the original "Zettai Karen Children"(or "Psycho Squad" in the dubs), but needless to say this series got me wanting to watch it as it's a spin-off of this series. It follows the story of Hyoubu Kyouske who is pretty much wanting to make a new world for "Espers". I don't want to get into too much detail as it might spoil it, but if you like action and an AMAZING story, this is well worth checking out every Monday night(or Tuesday morning if you plan on downloading it or watching it on CrunchyRoll). Needless to say, if it gets dubbed, this will be an instant purchase when it comes out on Blu-Ray or DVD in the US.
Re: Anime/Manga RecommendationsHey kids, what time is it? ....no, not Adventure Time.....
It's Time for the return of "Gonzo's Anime Recommendations that you will never watch!" Do you like hot girl? "Yes, we do, Gonzo!" Do you like explosions? "Of course we do, Gonzo!" Do you like comedy in the form of "uh oh, what did you do???" "Well, duh, Gonzo!" Do you dig that awesome 80's anime style? "Umm, I wasn't born until after the 80's were over...old man...." Quiet you! *ahem* Well, have I got a show for you. One of my personal favorites for years and years (and years): The Dirty Pair. Two girls, Kei and Yuri, are The Lovely Angels, also known as the Dirty Pair. Why are they known as the Dirty Pair? Because everytime they go on a mission to save someone or some planet, THEY SCREW IT UP. See as Kei and Yuri infiltrate a space casino and BLOW IT UP. Laugh as every time someone mentions the Lovely Angels coming to help, people RUN IN FEAR! Witness as Yuri falls for the enemy and MARRIES HIM IN A SCENE PARODIED IN WAYNE'S WORLD??? The fine folks at Nozomi has finally brought all of Kei and Yuri's adventures to the US on dvd! The TV series is subbed only but from the R2 Remastered dvds. The OVAs still have the ADV dubs on them as well as remastered video. The movies are the Pièce de résistance, containing remastered video, Japanese audio, ADV dubs AND the original Streamline Dubs! WOOT WOOT!!!!! Classic 80s goodness for your anime loving self! And if you are REALLY wanting the classic fun, find the Pine Salad Productions Fandubs (remastered a few years ago) for TOTAL 80's GOODNESS OVERLOAD!!!!! It's worth it.....trust me...
