Anime that effects your personal life?

Besides being entertaining and fun to watch, has an anime ever inspired you or taught something you can apply to real life? I can think of a few occasions, I know naruto used to be very inspiring for me. How he helps everyone he comes in contact with over come something they're dealing with, and just makes the world a brighter place! (someone to aspire to be like!) Most recently (as in a few hours ago) there was a scene in kenichi that hit me pretty hard. Talked about something I've been dealing with for months actually.

I don't know about inspiring me or anything, but Kimagure Orange Road always made me a hopeless romantic...

I watched the anime Skip Beat! and it really affected my acting ability. It certainly changed how I took on a character.

Ore no Imouto taught me to never be ashamed of my hobbies, lol. Seriously.

Clannad gave me unrealistic expectations of romance.

and most cutesy shoujo series made me want to dress nicer and overall have more fun in life.

Angel Beats really made me think long and hard about what it means to live a fulfilled life. Oh and of course it made this grown man cry like a little girl, that anime has that kind of effect as well

I've sampled and named lots of my songs after animes.

I also have a couple anime themesongs on my ipod.

I saw some idiot with that girl from full metal panic tattooed on his arm and he had no clue who she was.

I lost my virginity during an anime convention.

I also lost my wallet.

So yeah anime has affected my life.

It's not an anime yet (but it should be!!!), but manga/TV drama Otomen. It has inspired me to live your dream, no matter what people may think of you!!! >w<

I'm also pretty sure that Digimon/Sailor Moon/Tenchi/all the 90s anime has affected my desire to be a comic book artist. UwU
