( What's ironic is that my mom was helping get some art books and she picked that one out. I didn't realize it was a yaoi book until AFTER we got into the car and I looked. It was so funny! )
ohai.

Prettyplease? chase your dreams and remember me, speak bravery, because after all those wings will take you up so high. so bid the forest a fond goodbye as you brace the wind and take to the sky. ![]()
I do too. I think it would look good in an ink version. Try a bright white paper with the blackest ink you can find. That'll make for some interesting designs. I used to do work like that.

I'll try that, once I find some white paper and ink.. Hhaa. Or buy some. I gotta buy all my art stuff. Ugh. D: chase your dreams and remember me, speak bravery, because after all those wings will take you up so high. so bid the forest a fond goodbye as you brace the wind and take to the sky. ![]()
Now you know my pain. It's all I can really manage to request for birthdays and holiday gifts. It's frustrating.

Re: Art Critiquehttp://rouxcamina.deviantart.com/art/Finished-keychains-121341364
My little keychains I tried my best. Any critiques? And anyone want me to do a certain series? I lost the commissions that I was asked to do...=3=; AZ 11 Cosplays:
Roxy - Scott Pilgrim= 0% Mob Flareon-Pokemon= 20%
Re: Art CritiqueYou're proportions on the keychains are a little wonky looking. The arms are too skinny to be aesthetically pleasing so try fattening them up a bit. It might also help if you develop more of your own specific style, if you look around all of the very popular artists have their own style and that's what people like about their art.
I hope that wasn't too harsh, and what do you mean by you lost a commission? You did the work and then weren't paid?

The concept of shading alludes me. ![]()
Re: Art CritiqueI just finished this necklace. Please tell me what you think. Sorry for the cell phone pic. Its a wooden hand with a little skeleton key and medicine bottle off to the side.

Re: Art Critique
Hmm, your shading is a little odd since it makes everything look shiny (and you don't want skin looking shiny, icky!) and maybe tone it down a little on the hair as well. The boots also looked a little odd as well as the tights. The tights didn't have any creasing in them and the boots, even if they are stiff boots, should be bent a little by the wind that is making the hair move around so much. Nice action pose too!
Re: Art Critique
Thank you so much! I will take all of this to heart, as I didn't notice any of it I really appreciate it! Re: Art CritiqueI like hand made paintings very much as they reflect real art and ability of workers.
Re: Art Critique
As opposed to CGI images? Lemma tell you, even if you have a tablet and a basic understanding of photoshop, CGI images are far from being easy. That's the reason I stay traditional, at the moment it just takes me too much time to do something I can do faster with pencil and paper.
Re: Art CritiqueI request Critique and would like to know if this would be worthy of being a print. I'm on the edge of yes and no with this one.

Re: Art Critique
Hmm, I'm torn on this one too. I like the color but the rainbow hair here doesn't work quite as well as it does in some of your other pictures (I think it's because there is so much of it, although the cat ears have the right amount of rainbow in them IMO) and the mouth and shoulders keep catching my eye in the bad way. The shoulders do this weird pointing up which A) looks unnatural, B) makes them look bigger and, as a result, C) don't mesh well with the image of a bishie cat boy. The mouth is also throwing me off, I think it's from the perfectly symmetrical mouth piercings which sorta-kinda look like fangs except, not. And that's the thing about this picture, it kinda looks like a few things but then you spot something that prevents it from looking like what you expected. I would see what else you can come up with and print this one if you think you'll have a lot of free space on your table.
Re: Art Critique
Thank you for your honest critique! I will perfect my catmen bishies! Seat 40 ![]()
