Hot on the heels of the tame, boring, non-18+ "Girls Love" panel,
we're going to have some REAL 18+ Girls Love and Yuri!
Since it's 18+, you don't have to "Hide your lesbians" - and since there's so much more stuff for Adults(tm), we'll open the floor for the discussion of your preferred pairings after we talk about our favorites, since there are so many super-popular yuri pairings!
Audience Show + Tell : Bring your favorite yuri manga or doujinshi and showcase it! is under discussion with the AZ Panels Staff.
A) The 5 minute introduction to the origin of hardcore yuri: needed to link the Girls Love & Yuri panel to this one, and give those who just popped into the panel some background to how this genre was formed
(We won't do the rest of this panel presentation style, as I'm sure many of you would be bored after the first panel and want to discuss stuff instead!)
B) Sample topics we* will discuss after the intro
3) Visual novels: Sono Hanabira, Aoi Shiro / Akai Ito, Katahane, and then there are a lot of "les-romps"
4) Anime series : Railgun, Madoka, Kannazuki no Miko, Strawberry Panic, Nanoha , etc...
5) Other topics I couldn't come up with at this time...
*you might notice I said "we" here. For a discussion panel, 3-4 panelists are much better at sustaining discussions. If you're interested in being a co-panelist and are over 18 when AZ 2012 rolls around, let me know.

Just sent you a PM. Please remember that these are open forums and not age restricted.
*fixes various things*
Things that still need fixing:
1) Title is too risque (fair enough, this goes in the convention book)
New title suggestions welcome.
Old title: Hardcore Yuri: Hot Lesbian Sex and other dirty things!
2) 18+ doujinshi on the big screen is no-go (the panel rooms have open windows in the back; this also makes sense).
The general idea is to allow those who don't know the series to at least see something that may be interesting to them. Nothing is more frustrating/boring than other people discussing something that you're interested in, but know nothing about.
I really want the audience to be able to bring their own series to be put up on the big screen. The panelists can focus more on popular series, and obscure series can be brought by the audience (since there are too many to cover).
Since the audience member brings the series, they are the experts and can carry on a better discussion than if the panelists try to cover too much. This matters because if I bring content for "Series A" but I have only spent a little bit of time, there's a really good chance I'll miss the funny or good parts, whereas a dedicated audience member will know the best parts already.
An adaptation of this idea to fit AZ's 18+ guidelines is to have the content censored live before putting it on the screen - as in, pieces of paper to cover up the "naughty" bits.
3) If the content looks to be more 18+ than 15+, the panel may not be approved.
...well, I guess I'm kinda surprised at this one. 18+ at Animazement is not porn-store 18+.
It boils down to the type of panel that will be run for how sure I can keep the content below "that fine line" that I can't cross.
For an audience-directed discussion panel with audience show+tell, it is very difficult to "walk the fine line" due to the nature of the panel (ie. you don't know until you get to the panel).
For an audience-directed discussion panel with panelist show+tell, it is possible to "walk the fine line", however, it is hard to carry on a discussion should it stray into territory where only a few audience members are familiar with the topic/series.
For comparison, the Girls Love panel was a panelist-directed presentation panel, so I could ensure the panel would not be 18+.
"It boils down to the type of panel that will be run for how sure I can keep the content below "that fine line" that I can't cross."
Bull's-eye!! I think (or at least I hope) that I expressed it last year - the AZ attendees are more mature and have been interested in Japanese culture and entertainment for many, many years. So I would expect that we have many folks who are knowledgeable on many topics, some of which are not appropriate for all attendees.
My goal is for an 18+ panel to be intelligent and informative, not crass. If the only goal is to shock or ogle over naked people, then that can be done on your own time somewhere else.
I hope that makes sense.
