Yeah, it's really frustrating to me as I love charms and I can attach them to other things like cameras, Wiimotes, etc, but most people don't translate the "Oh this can be used for that" all that well. I have about 15 spare split rings, but think I might go stock up on more. Oh - one other thing you could think about are making them into zipper pulls. Putting the items on a lobster claw will actually let people swap them from phone card to zipper or to other purposes like charm bracelets. It's just more hardware to bring though and the more types of clasps you have, the more tools you have to bring. Since I'm not a jeweler, I try to stay awaaaaayyyy from making too many options that require more types of tools and such. (Plus I don't want to be lugging a lot of tools on top of the 2D stuff.) But thanks for your input! This is good stuff to think through.

You're welcome! Most of the stuff I make is jewelry ish and I've been slowly expanding the types.. just recently added hair barrettes to the list. Unfortunately I won't be in AA at AZ but this is still good experience for me and I always appreciated other suggestions from other artists.

I think magnets will be a good refresher from all the keychains and buttons. Not that I don't love those, because I do, but it would be something different. I would totally buy a magnet to spruce up my fridge :>

Ok so this year i was really wanting to start expanding into jewelry. I did exceptionally well selling my jewelry and needle felted critters so i figured i'd stick to those and expand on some of my jewelry.
Things i wanted to do this year though i am really into recent japanese street fashion trends, bright hot colors, holographic, glitter, and pastels so i was wondering if any one would be interested in those types of things. I was thinking of doing some of my own designs too with my own characters and maybe doing one or two original tshirts as well but i haven't decided yet. If you can think of accessories that are worn by many of the fairy kei types that's kinda what i'm looking into doing, besides my felted animals.
If you can think of the model Kyary then that is sort of what i'll be looking to do, just trying to get a feel on what people would be looking for, also i want to start marketing a little to men as well, so i'm wondering if any GUYS out there have any suggestions of accessories or things they would like to see in terms of original pieces!

My wife is planning on setting up a table in Artist Alley this year and sell her perfumes. She had a table at Librari-Con, and did pretty well. She's had her own perfume business on Etsy for a few years now, and had mostly done scents related to classic stories like "The Secret Garden", "The Last Unicorn", and more, but decided to venture out into Anime inspired scents this past summer. Now she has Ghibli scents, Sailor Moon scents, NANA scents, and Haruhi scents, which is what she began with. Who knows what inspired scents she'll come up with for AZ???
She'll also be setting up a table at Nashi-Con in March for those that may want to check her out there as well...

I'm not very good yet, but what did you have in mind? Would mind if we took this to PM? I don't want to derail the thread

Hey guys hopefully if all goes well i will be sharing a table with Mika bear. She seels the pokemon sets.
I will be selling bumper stickers and Posters of cosplayers i have photographed. With there permission of course.
I am also seeing if they will let me set up a small background beside of behind my table to do a few shots of cosplayers.
Also a friend and me will be making a few of our jewel trees to sell them again.
Just wanted to know if anyone would buy this stuff cause i dont want to print or make too many. or too little.
