Team Tournaments this year?

Anyone think this would be a good idea? Bad idea, perhaps? I think some 2-on-2 AE or KOF XIII would be pretty fun. Hell, if possible do a 3-on-3.

Brian is helping out with tourney events. I know he loves teams. It might have more to do with room closing time, so lets hope this years tournaments run smooth and fast (HA!). We will post up the schedule of games later, but you know it's gonna be Capcom, SNK and Namco heavy.

Nothing wrong with Capcom and SNK fighters. But wow, will we really have the 3 new Capcom fighters [Street Fighter X Tekken, UMVC3 and Super Street Fighter 4 AE] in a tourney this year? yikes. Speaking of which, a lot of new(or updated) fighting games have come out since the last AZ... good luck choosing which will be played!

Tell me about it! We try to split it up with the 2d and 3d along with have an anime based game in the mix. Since we only run two events each night, we only have four tourneys planned. I'll get some forum feedback and see what is popular.

There will be retro challenges and we might bring back the arcade tourneys also. Windjammers anyone?

I think it would be a great idea. Especially to have a Street Fighter x Tekken tournament considering you can have the whole 2 on 2 tag team aspect of it.

I got Tekken x Street Fighter on day one... Definitely the best option for a team tournament IMO.

Considering the fights are 2v2 tag battles.

SF X Tekken 2v2 is probably the best thing about the game. That's gonna be a lot of fun to play at AZ this year.

Been playing SFxTK nonstop since the day it came out. Definitely a good choice of a game for the tournament. And hopefully the patch with Tournament Mode will be out.

Nope... Apparently "Tournament Mode" is just to where you can set up your gems right there on the spot... :/

Usually sign ups are an hour before the tourney starts. So just make sure you look out for the tourney schedule.
