Okay, so I posted a topic on here about a cosplay meet-up of sorts. I decided I'd repost being a bit more specific.

So anyone within the Raleigh area or willing to drive to Raleigh for such a thing is welcome. I just think this would be a cool idea to do while we wait for AZ to come around.

I'm in Chapel Hill/Carrboro. I'm always looking for people to work on cosplay with. Progress parties, if you will. And I live in a decent sized one bedroom apartment, so there's room for multiple people to work on things. Is this the sort of thing you were talking about, or do you mean like a group of people working on cosplays of the same things? Unfortunately I tend to lean towards the more obscure, so I probably wouldn't be ideal for a group like that. But anyway...

Haha, I mean for anything. I'm not really a social or "normal" person so making friends is kind of difficult. And seeing as the local con is once a year I get very few chances to mingle with people sharing similar interests. Sooooo I'm mainly looking for local people to hang out, be weird, and to work on cosplay/watch anime with.

Gotcha. Well I'm not crazy into anime (most of my cosplays are game-based), but I'm always down for social gatherings and progress parties.

I'm in Raleigh, soon to be in Apex, and I like the idea of hanging out with others watching anime and possibly working on cosplay together (though I can't sew at the moment, it might not be a bad skill to learn). I have a hard time choosing new anime to watch, because I have to weed out the stuff that is super long (my life DOES involve other interests, so I love the 26 episode series) and because I have no idea where to look for anime these days. The sites I used to torrent from are closed down, and I just finished watching all the anime shows I had downloaded. Anyway, nice to meet you, and I hope we can talk more!

Yes, I like the idea of a meetup as well!. I was a little slow preparing for this years animazement as its my first time. Don't have any current friends with my interests. I think it would be fun . I'm 20 and from Raleigh.

I live 15 mins away from Raleigh as well. And I am 19.
Sooooo after everyone finishes recovering from AZ lack of sleep/noms/etc we should talk more about meeting up. Maybe once a month, if not more often depending on the group.
