Standing in line is not fun!  You want a good seat, but you also want to enjoy the rest of the convention.  Now you can do both!  At Animazement, there are no event seating lines.  All you do is get a sticker on your badge indicating your seating group number for the event you plan to attend, and you are considered to be in line. Here's how it works:

1. Get a seating group number on Saturday morning after 10:00am.

Seating group numbers will be handed out near Volunteer Operations.  You can get a number anytime after 10:00am on Saturday until we run out.  A number does NOT guarantee you a seat, just a place in line.  We hand out fewer numbers than there are seats.  A number also does not guarantee seating order, just a seating group.

2.  Enjoy the convention instead of waiting in line.

Once you have a number, go on and enjoy the convention.  If you can't get a number, go on and enjoy the convention anyway...  You will still probably get a seat.

3.  Line up with your group one hour before the event.

An hour before the event (6:00pm for Cosplay) we group everyone into lines by group number.  You can always join a higher-numbered group, but never a lower-numbered group.  If you don't have a number, join the No Number group.  You will probably get a seat anyway!

We don't tell you in adanve where to line up, but we will announce it throughout the convention when the time comes.

4.  Get seated with your group.

We will seat everyone by group.  If you get into line with the wrong group, you will be sent back to join the proper group.  Yes, this means you will be at the end of the line.

Why are we doing this?

We don't like lines, and we know you don't like lines.  So here is a way to be in line, without lining up.  We are serious about this! If you form a line somewhere, we will make sure the real line starts somewhere else.

What if I can't get a sticker?

Don't worry!  You will probably still get a seat.  When we announce where the lines are forming, join the No Number group.

What if I want to sit with my friends?

All of you should join the group of the friend with the highest number.  This means that if you have a sticker for group 2, and your friend has a sticker for group 4, you would join group 4 with your friend, not group 2.  If you are serious about getting a low number with all of your friends, set your alarm clocks, give your sleepy friends a wake-up call, and come to the sticker distribution together!
